Bacteriophages, or phages, are viruses that infect and kill bacteria. They have been shown to be effective in controlling bacterial infections in poultry, and may have potential as a tool for improving food safety in the poultry industry.

Phages have the ability to target specific bacterial species, making them a precise and selective treatment option. In addition, phage therapy is a natural and safe alternative to traditional antibiotics, and may be useful in addressing the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance.
